Thanks So Much!

I just love the Artisan Design Team, they come up with so much inspiration.  I have had the Striped Treat Bags in my stash for nearly 10 months and have not used them.  I got them out a few times but could not get inspired to make a project with them.  That is until I saw what Kayla MacAulay made using the bags.  I cased the stamping on the bag from Kayla but the remainder of the project is my design and idea.

This is the finished project.

I designed my project around the Eastern Palace Suite as I had these items in my stash.  I was wanting to design a project for my next class that show cased the gorgeous paper and other products in the suite.  Apologies for the colour of the photos, but the Fresh Fig kept coming out like Elegant Eggplant, but I can assure you that it is Fresh Fig (it matches the colours in the paper).

I decided to design four 3" x 3" cards as they fitted perfectly in the Striped Treat Bag along with 4 little envelopes.  I thought that this would make a great Thank You gift or Hostess gift if you are a Demonstrator.  You could stamp Happy Birthday on the gift bag and make a small present out of the project.

These are the four cards and matching envelopes.
I stamped the inside of the card the same as the envelopes.

Wood Textures Designer Series Paper

I cased a card from Stampin' Up! using the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, my card is not an actual match as I changed the decoration.  I love the layout of this card and the great use of the patterned paper.

This got me thinking about what other cards could be made with this paper pack. This is what I came up with (it took me a week as I used the entire paper pack and made 69 cards).  There are 17 designs plus the one that I cased.  I only have a small pile of scraps left, which if I really wanted to I could probably make into another card, but I did not have the creativity left to manage it.

Card 8

This card is similar to an inchie card (the squares are slightly larger than an inch).  It is the second last card that I made, using up a lot of the small pieces of patterned paper left that fitted nicely into the smallest Stitched Square Framelit.  I had fun decorating each small square.

This is the last card I made using up all the small strips and pieces left.  I made 4 of these, each one slightly different as they use different scraps of paper.

I will be donating these cards to the Ronald McDonald House Charity at our Stampin' Up! Onstage Local Event which is being held on 7April, 2018 (less than 2 weeks away).

Don't forget the Sale-A-Bration promotion
that ends on the 31 March 2018.

Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper

How amazing is the Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper!!

For my first card I coloured the flowers and leaves with the Dark Pink and Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends, added strips of the Rose Gold dot paper and adhered to a Blushing Bride card base.

The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set which I teamed with the Labels to Love stamp set.  I love the outline image which was punched out using the Everyday Label punch.

For my second card I used the same card design, just changed the patterned paper to the silver foil sheets and a Smoky Slate card base.

You can get this beautiful paper pack for free for as part of the Sale-A-Bration promotion when you spend $90 AUD, but you had better hurry as the promotion ends on the 31 March 2018.

Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop - Guest Designer

Paper Adventures - Blog Hop Header

How thrilled am I to have been invited to be the guest designer for the Paper Adventures Blog Hop for March. I was rather excited to be asked, so thank you Kelly and the team.

The theme this month is Sale-a-bration, what a choice of great products.  The difficulty was what to choose. I changed my mind several times but settled for a favourite stamp set, Party Pandas.

How cute are these little dudes from the Party Pandas stamp set.  I have teamed this stamp set with the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper.  This paper actually coordinates with the Bubble Over Bundle in the current Occasions Catalogue, however the colour designs of the paper go great with the Happy Birthday theme and make the little Pandas pop.

Next stop on the hop is Kelly Kent.  Let's see what Kelly has created for us to enjoy.

Playful Background

I have made a lot of cards using the open circle image from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set, however I had not used the other images in the set.  So I set my self a challenge to use the striped image in the set and this is what I came up with.

I should have called this my bits and bobs card as I used up a lot of my die cuts left over from other projects.  The daisy flower I created ages ago (I actually have another one just like it in my stash) for a project and changed my mind about using it.

I stamped the background image twice using Soft Suede ink (stamped off once)  on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I then made my floral arrangement over the stamped image.

With a Vintage Feel

I love the vintage look that is so easy to create with the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper and the matching Birthday Friends Framelits and Birthday Delivery stamp set.

The little girl has a matching die to cut her out, however I fussy cut all the other images from the patterned paper to create this cute birthday card.

This is a quick and easy card to make with a little stamping and fussy cutting.  The background piece behind the little girl was created by stamping one of the greetings from the stamp set repeatedly on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Sahara Sand ink.
