Something Old, Something New and Something We Are Keeping!!

Hi everyone, did you know that you can do a resist technique with the White Stampin' Chalk Marker. I didn't until I viewed this great video tutorial by Dawn Griffiths.

Following the tutorial by Dawn I created the White Stampin' Chalk Marker resist technique on the flower.

For my card I have used the stamp sets "Timeless Textures" and "Garden in Bloom" that you can purchase now (these we are keeping) and also a new stamp set coming your way on the 1 June 2016, "Labeler Alphabet".

The something old on the card is the Go Wild Designer Series Paper that is on the Retiring List and will no longer be available after 31 May 2016 or before depending upon stock.

#6MONTHSTAMPINGGOALS

At our recent On Stage local event we were encouraged to set a 6 month stamping goal.  It does not have to be anything with a big WOW factor, just something small would be okay.

I am going to go with the something small to start with by adding an extra stamping event to my calendar each month.  I had already started to do this by adding the Memory Keeping classes twice a month.  I am going to now add a special event each month, with the first one already schedule for Mother's Day.

A lot of the ladies who attend my classes do not have children or no longer have their Mum with them.  I am lucky enough to still have my Mum living with me so I am sharing her on Mother's Day and we are going to do the One-sheet Wonder Class.  All the details can be found here.

If you live in or near Perth, Western Australia and would like to join us please contact me.

Mojo#445

Hi everyone, I am playing along with the challenge this week at Mojo Monday based on this sketch:

I have used a colour scheme of Blackberry Bliss, Tip Taupe, Whisper White and Mossy Meadow for my card with a little bit of gold added for some bling.  The rose image is from the stamp set Picture Perfect and the sentiment is from the Circle of Spring stamp set.

Sneak Peak - Display Board Samples for Sydney On Stage Local

Hi everyone, as promised I am sharing the cards and projects that I made for the display boards at the Sydney On Stage Local event.

I received a new stamp set, inks, cardstock, ribbon (love this new ribbon) and designer series paper from Stampin' Up! which I had to use along with any other carrying over stamp sets and products.  I was requested to stamp in the 2015-17 In Colors, making four samples each of the five colours.

I made three cards and one Project Life filler card for my samples.

Cucumber Crush

Mint Macaron

Tip Top Taupe

Delightful Dijon

Watermelon Wonder

Hope you enjoyed this little sneak peak.

Thank you for visiting.

Garden in Bloom

I was lucky enough to be chosen to stamp for the display boards at the Sydney On Stage Local event which was held yesterday. I had a really great day and enjoyed seeing all the new products coming our way on 1 June. I can't show you anything until after Tuesday but you will not be disappointed in the new products.  I have been going through my catalogue today (I have just about worn the cover off) making my wish list.

While I was creating my samples for the display boards I found that I was using the Garden in Bloom stamp set a lot.

I have created several samples using the stamp set to show how versatile it is.  You can create something pretty and neutral or something bright and bold.

The first card uses a colour scheme of Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Tip Top Taupe and Whisper White.  The background is made using the Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Series Paper which I misted with a mix if Marina Mist and Isocol Rubbing Alcohol.

The second card is similar to the first card, just using a colour scheme of Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White.  Again the background is made using the Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Series Paper which I misted with a mix if Blushing Bride and Isocol Rubbing Alochol.

The third card is a take of one that I did for the display boards, however I did not use the Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I sponged Delightful Dijon on the striped piece of paper and added a strip of Basic Black dotted Designer Series Paper from the Neutrals Paper Stack.  The colour scheme is Watermelon Wonder, Delightful Dijon, Basic Black, Cucumber Crush and Whisper White.

The fourth card is one I made for the display boards at Sydney but decided not to include it in my samples.  It uses a colour scheme of Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe, Cucumber Crush, Whisper White and Delightful Dijon.

Weekly Deals

Hi everyone, have you checked out the weekly deals this week. One of my favourite punches, the Blossom Bunch is part of this week's deals.

I had a little play with the 'Grateful Bunch" stamp set that coordinates with this punch and came up with two cards to give you a little inspiration.

The patterned paper is from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper Pack.

I used a colour scheme of Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White with some of the stamping done in Basic Black Archival ink.

The background was created by heat embossing the stem and leaf image with Whisper White and doing a light Watermelon Wonder water wash over the top to highlight the image.

The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set.
