Cars behind the Trees

The card I am sharing with you today is one that I cased from Ann Craig.  When I first spied this card I could not work out how it was done, but having visited Ann's blog and saw how simple it was I was amazed.

This is a great card for the men in our lives. It also has a bit of a vintage feel which I really like. Ann's card is made using the Whisper White cardstock so it has a cleaner look.  It was not until after I put my card together and revisited Ann's post that I realised that I had made my card using the dark cardstock, ah well too late.

The supplies you will need for the card are stamp sets "Guy Greetings" and "And Many More", "Woodlands" Textured Embossing Folder, Night of Navy, Soft Suede and Whisper White cardstock, Linen Thread, Night of Navy and Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pads, Momento Black ink pad, Aquapainter, Washi Label Punch and Word Window Punch.

Christmas Gift Card Holder

It is getting closer to Christmas so I have been on the look out for some great ideas for packaging gift cards.  Dawn Griffiths has a terrific video on her blog here, showing how to make this great little gift card holder.

I used the Winter Wonderland Specialty DSP, with a colour scheme of the Basic Black, Whisper White and Gold.

Some Gold Cheer

Hi everyone, the card that I am sharing with you today is one that I made for the Mojo Monday challenge.

The DSP that I used is from the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  I had the beautiful black and gold strip sheet left, I just love the bold contrast.

The leaf images are from the stamp set "Lighthearted Leaves" which I stamped with Versamark on Basic Black cardstock and Gold embossed.  I used the matching Leaflets Framelits to cut out the leaf images, these were adhered to a tag made using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch  and a piece of DSP from the "Winter Wonderland" paper pack which had a piece of 5/8" Satin Gold Ribbon attached to the top.  A large gold button from the Basic Metal Buttons pack was added to the top of the leaves, a piece of Gold Corded Trim was added to the button before attaching to the tag.    The Basic Black background was embossed using the "Boho Chic" embossing folder.  A large gold Metallic Foil Doily was put behind the tag and the word "Cheers" created using Gold Foil Sheet and the Greetings Thinlits
